Human hair extensions are exactly what they sound like. They are made out of real, human hair from top to bottom, collected from a donor. Human Hair means all the cuticles (the outer layer of the hair) are intact, running in the same direction at the time of collection. This allows for almost no tangling and ensures that the extensions remain smooth and silky throughout their lifetime.
Human hair extensions can be treated just like your own natural hair. You can straighten, curl, blow dry, color them, and apply hair products

Microbeading Weft Hair Extensions
A weft of hair is defined as a plurality of hair attached at one end. Weft tracks are hand tied/sew-in to your hair on beaded Rows.
Budget: $500+
Pros:
- The safest method of hair extensions available.
- Natural looking and lightweight.
- Comfortable and undetectable.
- Most suitable for any type of hair.
- Can use oil-based products on the scalp.
- No heat or glue is required for an application.
Cons:
- Maintenance appointment for a move up every 6 – 8 weeks.
- Extensions may be uncomfortable, tight, for a day or 2 after the application.
Maintenance: Wash hair regularly. Avoid over styling, as this can cause the braids to come loose. Shampoo, blow-dry, curl or straighten as you would with your normal hair for best results.

These are individual single strands attached by clamping a metal loop to small sections of your hair.
Budget: $600 – $1,200+ The cost for strand by strand hair extensions depends on how many strands are added.
Pros:
- Since the extensions are individual strands, the hair moves a little more naturally.
- The application uses no heat or glue.
- Hair is reusable, and any extensions that may have slid down or off can be fixed in less than half hour.
Cons:
- One of the timeliest methods of hair extensions, with an application time of 2-4 hours.
- Beads or locks can be visible if not placed appropriately .
- will slip more easily than any other method.
- The attachment points are made out of copper making it hard which can be uncomfortable especially the first couple of weeks after application.
Maintenance: Avoid use of oils or silicone-based products near the attachment.

Tape-in extensions use an adhesive tape to attach the extensions to you own hair. wefts/panels with double sided tape attached ranging between 1″ – 4″ long is applied on either side of the wearer’s hair “sandwiching” the user’s hair between two panels.
Budget: $600 – $1,500 The cost for tape in extension can vary depending on the number of boxes or panels of hair.
Pros:
- The fastest method of application. Volume applications take 45 minutes.
- Reusable method of extensions lasts between 6-8 weeks which fits into your salon visit cycle.
- Reusable and the hair can be worn for up to 2-4 times per application
- Natural looking hair extension method available.
- Most comfortable method of hair extensions.
- No heat or tools required for an application.
Cons:
- You can’t wash your hair or excessively sweat for 24-48 hours after application as the bond needs time to cure and adhere properly to the hair.
- The use of any silicone or oil-based products directly on the adhesive may cause the panels to slip.
- After 8 weeks you can start experiencing "pockets" between the scalp and the panels due the new growth.
Maintenance: Avoid any silicone or oil-based products at the root of the hair. Brush hair daily from root to tip. Style hair as normal.

Do not shampoo or wet your hair for 48 hours after application, as the attachment needs adequate time to cure or adjust.
-Before washing you should de-tangle the hair from ends to roots using a gentle brush.
-Wash the hair in an upright position using specialist hair extension shampoo in lukewarm water, ensuring that you do not massage vigorously or twist the hair.-
-Massage the shampoo gently into the scalp and over bonded areas letting the suds run through the lengths of the hair.
-Apply conditioner only from the mid-shaft or low ponytail down.
-Keep the conditioner off your scalp.
-Detangle pressing the attachment together and brush from the bottom then slowly move up towards the top.

-Heat protection spray is a crucial part of your daily blow-dry routine and extends the lifespan of your hair extensions.
-Brushing your hair is very important. This will allow you to prevent and get rid of tangles.
You should always start to brush your hair from the bottom then slowly move up towards the top.
-Be sure you are pressing your extension attachment together when you are blow drying. Dry scalp area before applying tension with a brush to the rest of the hair.
-Get a special Hair extensions brush.
-Sleeping with a silk pillowcase not only feels great but helps prevent your hair from tangling. Braid your hair if you can.
Avoid going to sleep with wet hair.

Hair extensions are not recommended for use in chlorinated water, salt water, and hard water with a high mineral content, or in hotter climates as damage or discoloration can occur.
-If entering the pool or ocean, apply a leave-in conditioner mid to ends and put into a ponytail, avoiding the bonded areas, and tye the hair up securely to avoid chlorine contamination and tangling.
-We advise to wash thoroughly afterwards and to apply a generous amount of conditioner to the lengths and ends.
Pre-book your extension follow up and maintenance, no later than 6-8 weeks after your initial application.
When you’re ready to have your extensions removed, please visit your professional stylist for removal to avoid damage to your own hair and scalp.
